Ephesians 6:10 -17"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, Having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; in addition to all, take up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take up the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God."
The only way for Christians to stand Firm in the Faith is to be solidly grounded in the Word of God - The Bible. God's Word never changes, it is the same yesterday, today and forever. Don't be fooled by unbiblical teachings that come from false teachers. More then ever Christians need to cling to the sufficiency of Scripture. We need to be spiritually fit to enter the battle. The above Scripture from Ephesians tells us what we will need to put on to be victorious in that battle. This armor protects us from the enemy of our faith from false teaching and deception. Choose your teachers wisely ! Remember what the Scriptures tell you:
1 John 4:1
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false Prophets have gone out into the world."
Many are claiming that love is the highest and only truth in scripture, but this passage is proof that it is not. There is a biblical and doctrinal test for discerning the spirits, so we are instructed from 1 John 4:1 not to believe every spirit. The doctrinal test is found in 1 John 4:1-6
Verse 5,6 "They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. "
As believers in Christ we are told from Scripture to obey sound doctrine. (Matt 24:11, 2 Peter 2:2, and Jude 3.) There are stern warnings from the Bible against false doctrine. The wise and discerning Christian does well to pay attention to this instruction in these perilous times.
